Adventure Camp 2025

Camp involves fresh air experiences, opportunities to learn new skills, and meet with Jesus in a safe and welcoming environment. Adventure Camp is a high-energy experience run again this year by Rob and April Howard who bring over 2 decades of experience in ministry, education, and parenting - including training in trauma informed care. April holds a Master of Education in Educational Administration.

Camp is fully supervised, and are staffed by trained individuals with a commitment to health and safety.

It is important to us that children not only receive a well-rounded camp experience, but that they understand:

  • they have been created with a purpose
  • that they are loved
  • that they can have a relationship with God which will give them strength to walk through life’s challenges.

Preparing for Camp

To attend Adventure Camp, children must be able to do well staying away from home for 5 days. If your child has not yet slept away from home or struggles to be away from parents/guardians for extended time frames or struggles to participate in large group activities, we advise you to consider coming with them to Family Camp instead - where they can take in programming but still remain with the comfort of family members.

Activities at camp include archery/riflery, swimming, wide games like prisoner's base or mission impossible, water based games, canteen, inflatable bouncer slide, lively services which include music and dramas, 9 square, trampolines, camp fires, and more!

July 14th - Start/arrival time is 1:00 p.m. Arrive on the grounds, check in with our registration, and you are able to see the cabin your child will be staying in and meet their leader. Campers will join their cabins and play games until all campers are check in and our Opening Service starts. We ask that all parents/guardians leave the grounds by this time.

Schedule:

7:30 Wake Up

8:00 Breakfast

9:00 Morning Service - music/dancing, dramas, message

This provides a comforting atmosphere. Night lights remain on all night and a cabin leader and LIT (leader in training) stay in the dorm all night.

Campers are fully supervised at all times. We follow a TGC Specific Abuse Prevention policy for all staff and volunteers.

Last Day: July 18th - 3:00 End Time

We have a Closing Service at 2:00 which includes worship, dramas, a slideshow of the week, and a short concluding message for families. We celebrate any cabin awards and by 3:00 campers are ready to go home. Families must check in with cabin leaders before children are released.

*Baptism Option: We do support a local church baptism, but also understand camp is a special place for many people. If you are interested in this option, a baptismal service is available following our closing program, and is not limited to campers.
